S. Creaney writes sci-fi, fantasy, horror at the intersection of the weird.
S. CREANEY is a writer born, raised, and based out of NYC. Her fiction has appeared in Sword & Sorcery Magazine, The Poetry Shed, Ripe Magazine, and the upcoming UNDER HER EYE horror poetry anthology by Black Spot Books.
Her stage works have been put on by Fordham University, The Poor Mouth Theater, and The Tank. She has presented academic work at PAMLA, PCA, and GSLA on topics that range from the inherent optimism in the Kafkaesque to the mapping the Utopian ideals to Hobbesian decay of social values to why we love musicals so much.
She is the winner of the NYC-based David Dortort Creative Writing Award for Playwriting and was long-listed for the Staunch Book Award.
She teaches writing at CUNY and storytelling at The Moth.
